3.2.1 Progressive Web App (PWA) Data

When you install kratkinovini as a Progressive Web App (PWA), we use additional technologies to provide app-like functionality:

  • Device fingerprint: A one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256) derived from non-identifying browser characteristics (user agent, screen dimensions, language, timezone), used solely to deduplicate installation records. It cannot be reversed to identify you.

  • Web Push subscription: If you enable notifications, your browser creates a standard Web Push (VAPID) subscription. We store this subscription together with your selected country to deliver notifications you have opted into. We do not use Firebase or any other third-party push messaging service. You can revoke it at any time by disabling notifications.

  • Service worker: A service worker is registered on your device to enable offline caching of application assets and to receive push notifications. Cached data is stored locally on your device.

3.3 Location Information

  • IP-based location: We automatically detect your approximate location (country, region, city) from your IP address to deliver locally relevant news.

  • Precise location (with consent): If you grant location permission, we may use precise location to provide more accurate local news. You can withdraw this consent at any time in your device settings.

3.4 Information from Third Parties

  • Error monitoring: Our error-monitoring provider may collect diagnostic information when errors occur.

3.5 Advertiser Data

If you register as an advertiser on our advertising platform, we additionally process business and billing information you provide — such as your company name, address, VAT identification, contact details, and any supporting documents — and information necessary to process payments. Card and payment details are handled by our third-party payment processor under its own terms; we do not store full card numbers. Advertiser data is processed to operate the advertising service, review and serve your campaigns, issue invoices, and comply with tax and accounting obligations.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Delivering news content tailored to your location and preferences

  • Processing search queries and providing search results

  • Sending push notifications you have opted into

  • Responding to your reports and inquiries

4.2 Service Improvement

4.3 Safety and Security

  • Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and security incidents

  • Enforcing our Terms of Service and Advertising Policies

  • Complying with legal obligations

4.4 Advertising

  • Displaying advertisements within the Service. Ads are served primarily by our own first-party advertising platform, which relies only on an anonymous session identifier to limit how often you see the same ad and does not track you across other websites or build advertising profiles.

  • If, in the future, we enable third-party advertising networks (for example Google AdSense), they may use cookies to serve and measure ads, and we will update this policy and our Cookie Policy and request the appropriate consent. This is not currently active.
